Women’s train at the Showgrounds Monday 6:30-8 pm.

The main training night during the season will be Wednesday nights. Leonard & Madden train and play as one squad. The season starts on April 3rd 2022. The training times are subject to change once the Tuesday/Thursday Twilight Six A Side and Futsal Indoor competitions finish.

Newcomers are encouraged to show up to training, meet Head Coach Stephen Burns and the rest of the girl’s team! Southies pride themselves on an inclusive enjoyable atmosphere that fosters development. Souths fielded a First Grade women’s last year after a brief time away and are enjoying a promising rebuild in the top grade. Come join the party in 2022!

Souths’ Leonard was fifth on the precipice of the Top Four when last season was abandoned due to Coronavirus. The Madden side sat inside the four and was enjoying a sharp uptake in form.
The Club is excited to build on 2021 with a progressive style of play that will excite in 2022.

Men’s train at the Showgrounds on Sundays & Wednesdays 7-8:30 pm.

The 1st & 2nd Grade Men currently train on Sunday & Wednesday 7-8:30 pm. First Grade coach Andy Heller encourages new players to join the sessions and opens that invite to any third or fourth graders looking to blow out the cobwebs in the lead up to Round 1 on the first weekend in April. New players arriving are welcome to join to find their spot in the Warriors five men’s teams. These times are also subject to change when Futsal & Twilight end – not to mention cricket (a vice the Englishmen Andy understandably doesn’t understand).

First & Second grade play and train as a squad throughout the year and preseason training is crucial for success in 2022. Training has been at a high intensity with old faces shedding the kilos & new recruits lifting the standards, as the Club looks to continue its rise up the Pascoe ladder.

2022 shapes as an exciting year for the Warriors in the Pascoe as Hellers hard graft creating a Club culture bears fruit, an atmosphere which has attracted players as well as sponsors, such as Proline Painting, which has afforded a massive improvement in infrastructure, facilities and equipment. The Men have improved year on year since Heller to the helm in 2020, a year which was an enormous rebuilding project for the Club’s Pascoe set up, Heller effectively having only four first grade players, yet the cultural foundations were carefully being laid.

That year the Club joined forces with the Estella Phoenix to enter a side in the FWW Under 16s competition. In 2020 the South Wagga Phoenix U16’s rarely gave up the top spot, they were unlucky to lose the Grand Final in a competition they dominated. In 2020 those Under 16s were rewarded with minutes in First Grade. The majority of players have become handy Pascoe players, having the headstart over their peers with many first grade minutes under their belt before they can even gain entry to the Clubs major sponsor the Victoria Hotel.

The seeds began to sprout in 2021 as Souths increasing professionalism & desire was rewarded. In a covid enfornced shortened season Warriors finished equal seventh with inner-city rivals Wagga United on ten points, the Club recorded 3 wins over Cootamundra and Tolland and a spicy 3 all draw in the Derby against United. On top of this the under 16’s became the bulk of the 2nd grade, whose enterprising play having them challenging for the title. Southies had two sides in the 3rd grade men’s, led by Faisal’s Gladiators which utterly dominated the competiton.

Join the Warriors charge in 2022! Still in doubt? Come have a kick and see the Southies way
